Job Title: Senior Grants Accountant

Overview:
A leading nonprofit organization seeks a detail-oriented Senior Grants Accountant with 5+ years of experience in grants accounting and reporting. This role supports the full grant lifecycle, ensures compliance with government and private funders, and works closely with Finance and Program teams.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage a portfolio of grants, reviewing and preparing financial reports, invoices, and journal entries.

Ensure compliance with OMB Uniform Guidance, including Single Audits.

Collaborate across departments on contract registration, reporting requirements, and allocations.

Support annual budget preparation, revenue/expense analysis, and external audits.

Work with Excel (vlookups, pivot tables) and grant portals (e.g., PASSPort).
Requirements:

Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

5+ years in grant accounting (NYS/NYC funding agencies preferred).

Strong Excel skills and experience with government contracts.

Knowledge of MIP Abila or Sage Intacct a plus.

Team-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated.
Team Size: 3-person Accounting Team
Software: MIP Abila (transitioning to Sage Intacct)
