A growing litigation firm is seeking a skilled and self-motivated Legal Assistant or Paralegal. The ideal candidate is someone who needs minimal training, takes initiative, and is comfortable managing litigation tasks independently. You'll be responsible for drafting pleadings and discovery, managing case filings, and maintaining communication with clients. A solid understanding of civil procedure and case progression is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft Complaints, Summons, Discovery responses, Medical Chronologies, and more

  • Prepare Witness, Exhibit, and Expert lists

  • Provide case status updates to clients

  • Handle e-filing and e-service

  • Schedule mediations, depositions, and CMEs

  • Take initiative in managing litigation calendars and filings

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3+ years of litigation experience

  • Strong understanding of civil procedure

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (preferred)

  • Ability to work independently with little guidance

  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the role
