Ascendo is representing a company and the company is expanding its U.S. operations and seeking a talented Senior Accounting Manager to join its team. If you hold a bachelor’s degree and have at least seven years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field, we encourage you to apply.
What You’ll Do
- Financial Analysis: Evaluate monthly results and provide insights to senior leadership to ensure performance targets are met.
- Reporting: Prepare and review monthly financial statements, reconcile complex intercompany accounts, and troubleshoot variances with cross-functional teams.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support annual budgeting processes and regularly update financial forecasts.
- Reconciliations: Oversee monthly account reconciliations and analyze balance sheet activity.
- Month-End Close: Lead month-end processes, including journal entry review and posting.
- Asset Oversight: Manage capital project tracking and fixed asset accounting across multiple locations.
- Revenue Recognition: Maintain and enhance revenue recognition policies to comply with evolving accounting standards.
- KPIs: Develop performance dashboards that drive operational efficiency and growth.
- Team Leadership: Mentor accounting staff and cultivate a high-performance finance culture.
- Policy Development: Refine internal controls and accounting policies for stronger reporting accuracy and process alignment.
What You’ll Bring
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
- Experience: At least seven years of accounting or finance experience;
- Systems Knowledge: Strong skills in ERP systems (SAP or similar), GAAP, and cost accounting.
- Communication: Clear, professional communication and the ability to effectively collaborate with senior leadership.
