Senior Tax Manager – Trust & Estate

 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Trust & Estate Tax to lead high-net-worth client engagements, from tax planning to reviewing complex returns. This is a visible leadership role with the opportunity to mentor junior staff, collaborate with subject matter experts, and work directly with clients on sophisticated estate and trust planning strategies.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and prepare complex trust, estate (Form 1041), and foundation returns for high-net-worth clients.
  • Advise clients on income, estate, and gift tax planning strategies.
  • Analyze and interpret estate planning documents such as wills and trusts; provide recommendations to optimize outcomes.
  • Mentor, train, and supervise tax professionals, helping them build technical and client-facing skills.
  • Develop tax-efficient strategies to minimize client liabilities.
  • Serve as a trusted client advisor, managing relationships and presenting solutions.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, or related field; Master’s in Taxation preferred.
  • CPA license or JD/LLM in Taxation strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of fiduciary tax and wealth planning experience within a public accounting or professional services environment preferred.
  • Proven expertise serving high-net-worth individuals and families.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Office tools.
