Tax Manager

 

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our growing public accounting practice. In this role, you will partner with business owners and leadership teams of privately held companies to provide proactive tax planning, minimize surprises, and support long-term growth. You’ll work closely with clients and team members, often on-site, to develop a deep understanding of their businesses and industries. This is an excellent opportunity for a relationship-driven professional who values collaboration, integrity, and client service.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead tax compliance and advisory services for pass-through entities across a variety of industries such as construction, manufacturing, retail, and professional services.
  • Conduct tax research, analyze complex issues, and prepare clear written correspondence.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, including handling billing and collections.
  • Represent the firm with professionalism and a positive presence in the business community.
  • Support business development activities, including participation in proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop tax staff while fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.
  • Oversee multiple engagements simultaneously with strong attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Contribute to firm initiatives that improve client service, staff development, and operational efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Active CPA license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Taxation or LLM in Taxation.
  • Familiarity with widely used tax software platforms (experience with CCH ProSystem or similar is a plus).
