We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Staff Accountant to support the automation and optimization of operations. This role focuses on streamlining accounting processes through technology, ensuring accurate financial data handling, and supporting the month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting tasks. The ideal candidate combines strong accounting knowledge with a proactive interest in automation tools and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily accounting operations including journal entries, account reconciliations, and ledger maintenance

• Support automation initiatives by helping design, test, and implement financial workflows and systems (e.g., ERP, RPA tools, APIs)

• Collaborate with IT, Finance, and Operations teams to identify manual processes and suggest automation opportunities

• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data across automated systems and platforms

• Monitor and validate system-generated entries and reports to prevent and resolve discrepancies

• Help maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures

• Participate in audits by preparing schedules, reports, and documentation as needed

• Document new processes and provide training/support to accounting team members during transitions

• Continuously improve and optimize accounting procedures using technology-driven solutions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 1–3 years of accounting experience; public accounting or financial operations experience is a plus

• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and Excel; experience with automation tools (e.g., Alteryx, UiPath, Power Automate) is a strong advantage

• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles

• Analytical mindset with a focus on efficiency and process improvement

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, tech-forward environment
