FCL Traffic Coordinator

Overview
We are seeking an experienced FCL Traffic Coordinator to support and manage full container load (FCL) shipments within a fast-paced ocean freight environment. This role is responsible for coordinating container movements, preparing shipping documentation, tracking shipments, and communicating with carriers, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth and timely delivery from origin to destination.

Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate and schedule FCL shipments, ensuring timely pickup and delivery
• Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, and customers to confirm shipment details
• Prepare, review, and process shipping documentation including bills of lading and customs paperwork
• Track shipments throughout transit and provide status updates to internal teams and clients
• Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate shipment delays or issues as needed
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company procedures
• Maintain accurate shipment records, costs, and carrier performance data
• Collaborate with operations, sales, and customer service teams to resolve discrepancies

Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 2+ years of experience in logistics, freight coordination, or traffic operations
• Hands-on experience with FCL shipments and ocean freight processes
• Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in ocean freight or international shipping
• Knowledge of import/export and customs compliance
• Bilingual Spanish preferred
• Logistics or freight-forwarding certifications a plus
