The Shipping Specialist plays a key role in preparing and dispatching clinical trial kits and related materials. This position operates within a warehouse/production setting and collaborates closely with kit assembly, inventory, and operations teams to ensure shipments are accurate, compliant, and delivered on schedule according to client and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare outbound shipments for kit-building orders by picking, verifying, packing, and staging materials for carrier pickup.
  • Validate kit contents against work orders, ensuring correct quantities, proper lot and expiration alignment (when applicable), and complete documentation.
  • Generate and review shipping documents such as packing lists, labels, and chain-of-custody forms as required.
  • Package shipments using approved materials and procedures to maintain product integrity, including temperature-sensitive processes when needed.
  • Coordinate shipment handoff to carriers and assist with tracking to ensure timely delivery; escalate any delays or issues.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using internal systems, including shipment confirmations and staging updates.
  • Follow established SOPs and quality standards within a regulated environment; support audits and process improvements.
  • Keep workspaces clean, organized, and compliant with safety and inspection requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in warehouse or shipping operations (picking, packing, labeling, documentation, staging).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a structured, compliance-focused environment.
  • Ability to follow standard procedures and maintain accuracy during repetitive tasks under deadlines.
  • Basic computer proficiency (email, scanning, warehouse or shipping systems) with strong documentation skills.
  • Ability to lift and move packages and remain on your feet for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience handling time-sensitive or healthcare-related shipments, including temperature-controlled materials.
  • Familiarity with chain-of-custody processes or specialized shipment tracking requirements.
  • Understanding of international shipping documentation and regulated materials is a plus.
