Job Title: Logistics Trainer & Operator Support Specialist

Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Logistics Trainer & Operator Support Specialist to support and develop independent operators within a transportation environment. This role blends training, operational support, and relationship management—ensuring operators are set up for success, understand performance expectations, and have the tools needed to run efficient, compliant businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set clear revenue expectations and provide practical guidance on day-to-day operational challenges

  • Conduct structured post-onboarding follow-ups to assess performance, answer questions, and reinforce training

  • Serve as a central communication point between operators, advisors, safety coordinators, and internal stakeholders

  • Maintain accurate records related to operators, equipment, and compliance within internal systems (including iSeries environments)

  • Deliver training support, including classroom-style sessions, onboarding reinforcement, and safety program participation

  • Assist with program improvements related to onboarding, retention, and safety initiatives

  • Educate operators on internal tools, load management systems, reporting dashboards, and profitability tracking resources

  • Handle inbound inquiries and provide timely resolution to operational issues

  • Participate in retention-focused touchpoints and occasional after-hours safety meetings

  • Support compliance efforts, including Hours-of-Service reviews and safety-related follow-ups

  • Assist with simulation-based training programs and contribute to special projects as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

  • At least 1 year of experience in customer support, transportation, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a training, coaching, or leadership capacity

  • Experience supporting independent contractors or drivers in a logistics environment

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced setting

  • Ability to engage, train, and motivate individuals with varying experience levels

  • Effective communicator, both written and verbal

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general data systems

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision

  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation and follow-through habits

  • Comfortable working in operational environments, including occasional physical activity (lifting up to 25–50 lbs)

Work Environment
This role operates in a dynamic logistics setting requiring adaptability, responsiveness, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Occasional extended hours may be required to support training sessions or safety initiatives.
