A growing plaintiff law firm is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Discovery Clerks to support its litigation team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a legal support or litigation environment and be comfortable managing discovery-related tasks in a fast-paced setting.

About the Role

The Discovery Clerk will assist attorneys and litigation staff with drafting, reviewing, and managing discovery documents while ensuring deadlines and court requirements are met. This role requires strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Draft legal documents, including initial, supplemental, and second-set discovery requests

  • Prepare and file motions for extensions of time when necessary

  • Maintain and monitor litigation calendars and deadlines

  • Communicate with clients regarding discovery matters

  • Draft and respond to discovery questions

  • Review file documentation for production and organization

  • Prepare monthly reports related to filed discovery responses

  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions and case matters

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of related legal, litigation, or discovery experience preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent grammar, spelling, and organizational abilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with individuals at all organizational levels

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple clerical responsibilities

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
