Customer Care Specialist I
Location: Jacksonville, FL Job Type: Full-Time
About the Role
We are seeking a Customer Care Specialist I to serve as the first point of contact for customers. This entry-level position is focused on delivering exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries, processing orders and quotes, and resolving basic customer issues.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, customer-focused, and eager to build a foundation in an office-based customer service and order management environment.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Support
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email in a timely, professional manner
- Provide accurate information regarding products, services, and order status
Issue Resolution
- Resolve basic customer concerns related to orders, accounts, and product information
- Escalate more complex issues as needed
Order & Quote Processing
- Enter, modify, cancel, and confirm customer orders and quotes
- Ensure all order details are accurate, including product selection, shipping, and payment information
- Follow up on pending or delayed orders and provide updates to customers
Product Knowledge
- Learn and apply foundational knowledge of products, services, and policies
- Use knowledge to provide accurate customer support
Documentation
- Accurately record customer interactions and order activity in ERP or related systems
- Support a seamless order-to-cash process through consistent data entry
Team Collaboration
- Partner with internal teams to resolve customer needs
- Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment
Customer Experience
- Deliver high-quality service focused on customer satisfaction and relationship building
Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Additional education is a plus but not required
Experience
- 0–2 years of customer service experience
- Experience in retail, hospitality, or other customer-facing roles is a plus
