A privately held distributor based in Somers, NY is seeking an experienced AP/AR professional to join their accounting team.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including wires and ACH
• Manage and reconcile discrepancies across large transaction volumes
• Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets for transaction tracking
• Interact directly with customers and vendors to resolve payment issues
• Support the Controller and broader 4-person accounting team across AP/AR functions

Qualifications

• 3+ years of AP/AR experience, including wire and ACH processing
• QuickBooks Desktop experience required (additional training provided)
• Strong Excel proficiency
• Detail-oriented, with experience handling high-value transactions
• Excellent communication skills for customer-facing interactions

Schedule

• On-site Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Half-day Fridays during summer months
