We are seeking an Accounts Receivable (AR) Collection Specialist to support our Revenue Management team. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for managing outstanding accounts receivable balances, following up with insurance carriers, resolving claim issues, and ensuring timely reimbursement. The ideal candidate is organized, persistent, and committed to delivering exceptional results while maintaining positive relationships with internal teams and external payers.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and manage assigned accounts receivable to ensure timely collections.
  • Contact insurance companies to follow up on unpaid or underpaid claims.
  • Research and resolve claim denials, rejections, and payment discrepancies.
  • Identify billing issues and coordinate with appropriate departments to resolve them.
  • Document collection activities and account updates accurately in the billing system.
  • Monitor aging reports and prioritize accounts requiring immediate attention.
  • Submit appeals, corrected claims, and supporting documentation as needed.
  • Maintain productivity and quality standards while meeting collection goals.
  • Stay current on payer policies, billing regulations, and reimbursement guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve workflows and maximize revenue recovery.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable collections, medical billing, or healthcare revenue cycle.
  • Knowledge of insurance claims processing, denials, and reimbursement practices.
  • Experience working with commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and billing systems is preferred.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.

  • Milestone Bonus of 40 hours for every 1200 hours.
