A well-established nonprofit based in Brooklyn is seeking a Grant Accountant to join their finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries; analyze general ledger activity
• Monitor grant expenditures against approved budgets and funding agreements
• Prepare and manage grant budgets, invoices, financial reports, and workpapers per funder deadlines
• Review and approve accounts payable vouchers for grant-funded programs
• Support internal and external audits with documentation and reconciliations
• Analyze budget variances and financial data to identify trends and risks

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in grants accounting
• Experience managing fiscal requirements of NYC, NYS, federal, and private grants
• Sage Intacct experience a plus, not required
• Advanced Excel proficiency
• Strong communicator, comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
