A growing organization in the Fort Lauderdale area is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations, ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, and support strategic decision-making. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated accounting professional looking to take ownership of a department and work closely with executive leadership in a stable and growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of the general ledger, including reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
• Prepare and review financial statements, variance analyses, and supporting schedules for management
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow projections in collaboration with finance leadership
• Implement and maintain internal controls, policies, and accounting procedures in accordance with GAAP
• Supervise and mentor a small accounting team, providing guidance, performance feedback, and professional development
• Partner with operations and senior management to identify process improvements and drive efficiency across the department
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals during audits and filings

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or MBA strongly preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or team lead responsibilities
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with multi-entity or high-volume environments
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accuracy under deadlines, and communicate effectively across departments
