Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support daily accounting operations and financial reporting. This onsite, contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for someone with a solid accounting foundation and experience supporting month-end and year-end close.

Responsibilities

• Handle general accounting functions, including journal entries and general ledger maintenance.

• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliations.

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

• Review transactions for accuracy and resolve account discrepancies.

• Prepare financial reports and maintain accurate accounting records.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting procedures.

• Assist with audits and other accounting projects as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of general accounting or staff accounting experience.

• Knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and reconciliations.

• Experience with month-end close and financial reporting.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
