Our Client, a law firm is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join the team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. As a Legal Assistant, you will work closely with the assigned attorney, assisting with case management, calendar coordination, and supporting the attorney with various legal tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorney with case preparation, document management, and scheduling.
- Coordinate with the paralegal and scheduler for hearings, depositions, mediations, trials, and other related events.
- Prepare and process invoices, ensuring timely billing for attorneys.
- E-file pleadings and ensure compliance with all court requirements.
- Process settlement checks and maintain accurate records.
- Use a document management system to save, organize, and properly profile all case-related documents.
- Maintain attorney's calendar and ensure all deadlines are met.
- Collaborate effectively with the team and clients in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience with FPP - First Party Property
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
- High stress tolerance and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with people effectively.
- Must be comfortable working in a team setting and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
