The open position is for a Bookkeeper/Accounting Manager to supervise, track and evaluate day-to-day financial activities of the company.  The Bookkeeper/Accounting Manager responsibilities include establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting information. We are looking for someone to work closely with our Executive Management Team.

 

Requirements and Skills

Must be able to commute to the office daily in downtown Miami - our hours are 8:30am-5pm

This is not a remote position

Strong Communication and Writing Skills - you will be communicating with top executives, management, employees, advisors, and clients and your ability to communicate and write clearly and effectively is critical

Must be proficient with Quickbooks

Proven working experience as a Bookkeeper/Office Manager

Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases

Ability to operate with large amounts of data

Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations

High attention to detail and accuracy

Must be organized and understand prioritization

Preferred - BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance

  

Responsibilities

      Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:

Month and end-year process

Accounts payable & receivable, general ledger, and payroll & benefits

Calculate managerial bonus compensation

Calculate and process expense reimbursement allowances and commissions

Revenue and expenditure variance analysis

Produce production reports

1099 Contracting Management

Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports and statements including:

Enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles

Coordinate and complete annual audits

Provide recommendations, improve systems and procedures

Meet financial accounting objectives

Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transaction

General Office duties and operations and some HR functions
