Our Client is seeking an Estate Planning Attorney in Charlotte, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have 2 or more years of experience in wills, trusts, and estates law, and will be able to work directly with clients to craft personalized estate plans. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a boutique client-centered environment, where you will be trusted with helping clients navigate complex legal matters regarding asset protection, succession planning, and end-of-life decisions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal counsel and advice to clients regarding wills, trusts, estates, and related matters.
  • Draft, review, and execute estate planning documents, including wills, revocable trusts, powers of attorney, and advanced medical directives.
  • Meet with clients in person to understand their estate planning needs, provide legal guidance, and answer any questions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients' financial advisors to ensure comprehensive estate planning solutions.
  • Represent clients in probate matters, including the administration of estates.
  • Stay updated on changes to laws and regulations affecting estate planning, and provide advice to clients accordingly.
  • Communicate with clients regularly regarding updates on their cases, concerns, and legal options.
  • Manage case files, maintain client confidentiality, and ensure that all deadlines are met in a timely manner.

 

Qualifications:

  • J.D. (Juris Doctor) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active member in good standing with the North Carolina Bar.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing in wills, trusts, estates, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of North Carolina estate planning and probate laws.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients in an understandable and empathetic manner.
  • Ability to meet with and interact with clients in person on a regular basis.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a client-focused approach.
