We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Attorney for one of our clients.  Attorneys from AM200 or AM100 firms with 4 or more years of experience in trusts and estates law are highly preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience in complex estate planning, asset protection planning, trust and estate settlement, and transfer tax return preparation. International estate planning experience is a plus. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with a strong background in trusts and estates to contribute to high-level legal work in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on complex estate planning matters, including wills, trusts, and asset protection planning.
  • Prepare and review estate tax returns, gift tax returns, and other related documents.
  • Assist clients with the administration and settlement of estates and trusts.
  • Work on international estate planning issues and cross-border tax considerations (a plus).
  • Provide legal counsel on various aspects of tax law and estate planning to high-net-worth individuals and families.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, clients, and other professionals (accountants, financial advisors, etc.) to develop and implement comprehensive estate plans.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations in estate planning and taxation.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • LL.M. in Taxation is required.
  • Must be a member of The Florida Bar, in good standing.
  • 4 or more years of experience in trusts and estates law, with a focus on complex estate planning, asset protection, estate settlement, and transfer tax return preparation.
  • Experience with international estate planning is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and a self-starter.

Additional Information:

  • This position can be based in Orlando, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Tampa or Jacksonville; however, candidates in the Orlando area are strongly preferred.
