Contract Specialist

Location: Palatine, IL

Overview: Ascendo Resources is seeking a dedicated Contract Specialist to join our Sales Operations team. This role is pivotal in supporting our sales efforts across various transactions related to Advanced Staining, Pathology Imaging, and Core Histology. You will be part of a dynamic team that values innovation and collaboration, contributing to our mission of advancing cancer diagnostics and improving lives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and finalize agreements and bids, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
• Redline and negotiate terms and conditions of contracts, maintaining a keen eye for detail.
• Collaborate with internal teams (finance, legal, customer service, IT, sales, marketing) to evaluate proposed modifications to contracts and assemble necessary contract language and financial inputs.
• Prepare and complete bids and special forms as applicable.
• Engage in projects and additional duties as assigned, contributing to process improvement initiatives.

Top 3 Skills Required:

1. Redlining and Terms and Conditions Negotiations: Expertise in contract negotiation and redlining techniques.
2. Contract Experience: Familiarity with crafting, reviewing, and finalizing contracts.
3. Custom Language Crafting: Ability to navigate and adapt to customer-preferred templates and language.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communication, English, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-5+ years of related experience.
• Previous experience in process improvement is a plus.
