About the Role

We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in supporting all aspects of the accounting cycle, from bookkeeping and financial reporting to month-end close and variance analysis. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex accounting tasks and collaborate with various departments within the company.

Responsibilities

• Manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions
• Prepare and reconcile bank statements and account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end closing procedures, including journal entries and accruals
• Analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports for management
• Perform variance analysis to identify and investigate financial discrepancies
• Maintain internal controls and ensure adherence to GAAP standards
• Support with tax preparation and audit processes (as needed)
• Work collaboratively with other departments (e.g., Sales, Operations)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (CPA preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting or a similar corporate accounting role
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Proven experience with accounting software (e.g., AccuFund, NetSuite)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
