Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Engineering Lab Technician to support engineering teams in product testing, analysis, and development. This role involves performing mechanical and electrical tests, assisting in prototype development, and troubleshooting equipment to support production and product performance goals. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, familiarity with CAD/CAE software, and experience in a fast-paced engineering or manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to engineers in product and production testing, troubleshooting, and validation
  • Assist with mechanical and electrical testing including flow, pressure, and restriction analysis
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments of equipment malfunctions and assist in debugging
  • Support prototyping, hardware fabrication, and electrical wiring efforts
  • Contribute to the design, modeling, and scoping of engineering studies and R&D initiatives
  • Maintain accurate records of testing data, results, and reporting in standardized formats
  • Collaborate on the development and evaluation of new products, processes, and technical procedures
  • Operate fabrication equipment such as drill presses, mills, and saws as needed

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in CAD and CAE software for engineering design and testing
  • Solid understanding of testing methodologies and mechanical/electrical systems
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team
  • Experience with robotic troubleshooting and manufacturing equipment is a plus
  • Comfortable in a high-paced, hands-on lab and production environment

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in a technical field preferred
  • 3–5 years of related experience in lab testing, engineering support, or technical fabrication
  • Hands-on experience using testing equipment and engineering software
  • Familiarity with industrial fabrication tools and basic machining processes is a plus
