Job Title: Autonomous Navigation Software Engineer

Industry: Robotics & Autonomous Systems

Job Description:

We are a fast-growing robotics company focused on developing cutting-edge autonomous systems for real-world applications. We are seeking a skilled Autonomous Navigation Software Engineer to design, implement, and optimize real-time navigation algorithms for autonomous ground-based robotic platforms. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with perception, controls, and hardware teams to deploy robust SLAM, path planning, and obstacle avoidance systems in dynamic environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine real-time autonomous navigation and path planning algorithms.
  • Integrate SLAM, localization, and sensor fusion (e.g., LiDAR, GPS, IMU) technologies.
  • Conduct testing and simulation in ROS and/or Gazebo environments.
  • Collaborate with perception and hardware teams to optimize performance in diverse conditions.
  • Support field testing and on-robot deployment with continuous improvement of autonomy stack.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in autonomous navigation, preferably in robotics.
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python; experience with ROS/ROS2.
  • Strong background in algorithms for SLAM, motion planning, and control.
  • Hands-on experience with real-time systems and deploying code to embedded or robotic platforms.
