We’re seeking a highly skilled Word Processor to join our legal team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on precision, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in producing impeccable legal and business documents. You’ll work closely with attorneys and staff, supporting the firm’s document production needs while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and professional presentation in every deliverable.


Key Responsibilities

  • Produce, format, edit, and finalize legal and business documents from copy, notes, and dictation

  • Proofread and correct documents for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and formatting errors

  • Maintain version control and track document revisions using redline/blackline tools

  • Format complex documents, including tables, templates, and styles, according to firm standards

  • Manage multiple assignments and deadlines with accuracy and efficiency

  • Collaborate closely with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff to meet document deadlines

  • Utilize PDF and document management tools to organize, convert, and edit materials

  • Support technology-enhanced workflows, including the use of AI-assisted tools where appropriate


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Word Processor in a law firm environment

  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Word (including redline/blackline and version control)

  • Strong PDF management experience (creation, editing, and conversion)

  • Typing speed of 50+ WPM with high accuracy

  • Excellent proofreading, grammar, and punctuation skills

  • Experience formatting and styling complex legal documents

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through

  • Tech-savvy and adaptable to new systems and tools
