Tax Manager (Generalist)

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver high-quality tax compliance and advisory services for privately held businesses (Partnerships, S-Corps, small C-Corps) and their owners/individuals
  • Manage and mentor teams of seniors and staff accountants
  • Oversee engagement planning, workflow, and scheduling
  • Perform research and provide solutions on complex tax matters
  • Review work to ensure technical accuracy and timeliness
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, becoming a strategic tax advisor
  • Communicate effectively with partners and team members on engagement status
  • Provide real-time coaching and feedback to support team development

 

 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant tax experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s in Accounting or related field (Master’s a plus)
  • CPA license required
  • Expertise in a variety of tax areas/entity structures
  • Experience with individual (1040) returns is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with trust/estate tax is a bonus but not required
  • Strong project management, communication, and research skills
  • Technologically savvy and detail-oriented
  • Confident team leader with the ability to multitask and mentor in a dynamic environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
