Our esteemed client in Middlesex County, New Jersey is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Warehouse Training Clerk to support both administrative and operational functions within our warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on warehouse experience, strong communication skills (especially through email), and the ability to balance office duties with warehouse responsibilities. This role requires a solid understanding of warehouse procedures and computer proficiency to support training coordination and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the onboarding and training of new warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to safety and operational procedures
- Maintain accurate training records and documentation in both digital and physical formats.
- Coordinate and communicate training schedules, updates, and follow-ups via email and other platforms.
- Support warehouse operations as needed, including inventory checks, order picking, packing, and shipping.
- Perform general office duties such as data entry, filing, scheduling, and generating reports.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and office software (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure smooth operation and alignment of training goals.
- Monitor and restock training materials and supplies as necessary.
- Help identify training gaps and recommend improvements to training processes.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a warehouse environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Outlook).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to manage professional email correspondence.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working in both office and warehouse settings.
- High school diploma or GED required; additional training or certification in logistics or safety is a plus.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Comfortable working in varying warehouse temperatures and environments.
