Position Summary:
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing across multiple tax entities and locations. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll operations, compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations, and proper handling of deductions, garnishments, and employee records. The Payroll Specialist also serves as a liaison between employees, management, and payroll agents to resolve issues and ensure high standards of service and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Process full-cycle payroll for multiple tax entities and pay cycles, ensuring accuracy in work hours, earnings, deductions, and tax compliance.

  2. Review, audit, and verify payroll data for accurate and timely transmission to payroll agents.

  3. Maintain correct federal, state, and local tax setups; ensure associate tax coding aligns with jurisdictional requirements.

  4. Administer payroll deductions such as wage garnishments, liens, and other court-ordered withholdings.

  5. Respond to garnishments, tax levies, and child support orders according to applicable laws.

  6. Accurately process associate transfers, including the assessment of tax implications.

  7. Address associate and management payroll inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality.

  8. Escalate critical issues to the Payroll Supervisor for guidance and resolution.

  9. Conduct periodic audits in collaboration with the payroll agent’s mainframe to ensure data integrity.

  10. Perform additional payroll-related duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 2+ years of full-cycle payroll processing experience

  • Software: 2+ years of experience with ADP GlobalView.

  • Skills: Detail-oriented, excellent communication skills, capable of managing confidential data
