Job Title: Accounts Receivable Administrator

Job Summary:
A growing company in the construction industry is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Administrator to join their finance team. This role is responsible for overseeing the AR process from invoicing through to payment collection, while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely follow-up. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in commercial construction billing and a strong understanding of lien laws, particularly in Florida.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and issue client invoices based on project milestones and contractual terms.

Partner with internal teams such as Project Management and Quantity Surveyors to gather required documentation for billing and resolve any disputes.

Assist in collection efforts across multiple business units, maintaining positive client relationships while ensuring timely payments.

Track and collect lien releases from vendors who have filed notices to owners.

Reconcile AR transactions and maintain accurate financial records.

Generate AR-related financial reports and provide recommendations to improve collections and billing processes.

Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to related inquiries.

Contribute to the ongoing development of AR processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field (preferred).

Previous experience handling accounts receivable in a commercial construction setting.

Strong understanding of construction billing processes and Florida lien laws.

Active Notary license required.

Skilled in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and accounting/ERP software.

Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment.
