Our client—a respected leader in the healthcare industry—is seeking a Lead Facilities Technician to oversee the maintenance and operational integrity of their state-of-the-art medical facility. About the Role:

As the Lead Facilities Technician, you’ll be responsible for the hands-on maintenance and operation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems throughout a healthcare environment. This role is ideal for a senior-level technician or working lead who brings strong troubleshooting ability, leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations and technical performance of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety infrastructure.

• Lead, train, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians; assign tasks and ensure adherence to best practices and safety protocols.

• Partner with engineering, compliance, and clinical teams to ensure uninterrupted facility operations within a healthcare setting.

• Diagnose equipment and system failures; implement timely repairs and corrective actions with minimal disruption to clinical operations.

• Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules and documentation in line with Joint Commission and other regulatory standards.

• Support and implement energy conservation initiatives and sustainability programs.

Key Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in facilities maintenance with a strong background in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

• Prior leadership experience in a technician or supervisor role, ideally within a healthcare, hospital, or similarly regulated environment.

• Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS) and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

• Knowledge of safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance in healthcare settings is highly preferred.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and outside vendors.
