Our client—a respected leader in the healthcare industry—is seeking a Lead Facilities Technician to oversee the maintenance and operational integrity of their state-of-the-art medical facility. About the Role:
As the Lead Facilities Technician, you’ll be responsible for the hands-on maintenance and operation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems throughout a healthcare environment. This role is ideal for a senior-level technician or working lead who brings strong troubleshooting ability, leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day operations and technical performance of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety infrastructure.

Lead, train, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians; assign tasks and ensure adherence to best practices and safety protocols.

Partner with engineering, compliance, and clinical teams to ensure uninterrupted facility operations within a healthcare setting.

Diagnose equipment and system failures; implement timely repairs and corrective actions with minimal disruption to clinical operations.

Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules and documentation in line with Joint Commission and other regulatory standards.

Support and implement energy conservation initiatives and sustainability programs.
Key Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in facilities maintenance with a strong background in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Prior leadership experience in a technician or supervisor role, ideally within a healthcare, hospital, or similarly regulated environment.

Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS) and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Knowledge of safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance in healthcare settings is highly preferred.

Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and outside vendors.
