About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is critical to ensuring accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting functions, and supporting internal financial operations. The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of accounting principles, is comfortable using bookkeeping software, and is capable of working independently with minimal oversight. Internal bookkeeping work in office, and also traveling to client sites, doing bookkeeping work for them. Bonuses based on work completed for clients.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain and update financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable

Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded

Process payroll and maintain related records (if applicable)

Assist with preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

Manage vendor payments, employee expense reports, and invoicing

Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting

Support CPA during audits and tax preparation

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping best practices

Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks (Desktop or Online), Xero, or similar

Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
Nice to Have

Experience with payroll processing and benefits reconciliation

Familiarity with industry-specific regulations or financial systems (customizable)

Ability to take initiative and improve accounting processes
