Ascendo Resources is representing a client who is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager.
Job Summary:
A dynamic and fast-paced company in the industrial/manufacturing sector is seeking a Manager of Financial Reporting to join its corporate finance team. This position plays a key role in preparing consolidated financial statements, managing intercompany transactions, supporting reporting system operations, and ensuring timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, independently driven, and well-versed in US GAAP and ERP systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare consolidated financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) on a monthly basis
- Lead the production of semi-annual reporting packages, including detailed balance sheet reviews and financial disclosures
- Manage the preparation of annual standalone financials and related footnotes in accordance with US GAAP
- Serve as administrator for a corporate financial reporting tool, including report maintenance and version control
- Support monthly and year-end close by maintaining the close calendar, preparing key entries, and ensuring accuracy
- Compile executive-level reporting, including a monthly chairman’s report and variance analysis
- Act as liaison with external auditors during audit and review cycles
- Prepare and post journal entries, including allocations, inter/intra-company eliminations, and corporate overheads
- Conduct technical accounting research and prepare supporting documentation
- Oversee lease accounting under ASC 842, including new lease evaluation, reconciliations, and rent tracking
- Ensure compliance with internal controls related to financial reporting
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Active CPA license
- 7–12 years of experience in financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with large ERP systems (e.g., SAP or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and corporate consolidation processes
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and multitask effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with financial reporting software or Excel add-ins
- Experience administering reporting systems (e.g., Longview or similar)
- Ability to work independently and present to senior leadership
