Ascendo Resources is currently seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant for a full-time permanent role. This role offers a salary of $75,000 to $85,000 and is fully on-site.

Our client is a healthcare company sitting in the non-profit space located in the Bronx, NY.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform full-cycle accounting duties including accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), and general ledger reconciliations
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings
• Prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, and accruals
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Support financial reporting and internal audits
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting as needed
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide support on ad hoc projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of full-cycle accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger processes
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software such as Sage Intacct
• Healthcare experience is a plus, but not necessary
• Experience with Python and Tableau is a plus, but not necessary
