Ascendo Resources is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for a full-time, on-site role located in Manhattan, NY.

Our client is a well-established organization within the Construction industry. Highly-regarded, they are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to add to their growing and successful team!

Salary range is $60,000 - $70,000 with full-benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and submit Certificates of Insurance (COIs) for review by insurance broker
• Monitor and follow up on expired COIs
• Input Purchase Orders (POs) into Sage and issue them to subcontractors
• Track the approval of COIs and the receipt of signed POs
• Review and validate invoices for accuracy and PO compliance
• Enter invoices into the accounting system
• Process payments to subcontractors with Project Manager approval
• Provide general support to the accounting team as needed
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and respond to subcontractor inquiries
• Reconcile subcontractor statements regularly

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency with Sage 300 or Timberline
• 2+ years of experience in the construction industry
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
