Job Title: Bookkeeper / Accountant

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Accountant to manage daily financial operations and assist with minor HR responsibilities. The ideal candidate will take over in-house bookkeeping duties from an external accounting firm and ensure the continued efficiency of the current accounting system. Experience with Zoho Books or QuickBooks is required.


Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Bookkeeping:

  • Maintain and manage the full-cycle bookkeeping process.

  • Handle all billing and invoicing procedures.

  • Process company commissions and ensure accurate and timely payments.

  • Reconcile bank statements and manage financial records.

  • Assist with tax preparation and ensure compliance with tax regulations.

  • Generate and analyze financial reports as needed.

System Management:

  • Work within existing accounting software (Zoho Books or QuickBooks).

  • Ensure smooth integration of financial data into the current system.

HR Support (Minor Duties):

  • Assist with onboarding new employees.

  • Handle health insurance billing and other benefits-related tasks.

  • Maintain confidential employee files and assist with minor administrative HR tasks.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar financial role.

  • Proficiency with Zoho Books and/or QuickBooks is required.

  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.

  • Experience with payroll, taxes, and commission calculations is a plus.

  • Familiarity with basic HR processes is helpful but not required.


Preferred Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Comfortable working in a small team or entrepreneurial environment.

  • Discretion with handling sensitive and confidential information.
