Data Analyst, Revenue Assurance
Location: Southlake, TX (HQ)

Our client is seeking a Data Analyst, Revenue Assurance to join their team at headquarters in Southlake, TX. In this role, you will analyze revenue streams, reconcile invoices, and ensure accuracy across a portfolio of clients. Using your SQL and analytical expertise, you’ll partner with internal teams—and at times external partners—to proactively identify and resolve billing discrepancies, missing credits, and misapplied payments.

Key Responsibilities

• Build SQL tables from flat files and write efficient, organized queries for large datasets.
• Reconcile and validate client accounts to ensure timely, accurate billing and accounting.
• Monitor revenue transactions and data flow to proactively detect and prevent discrepancies or revenue leakage.
• Partner with IT, Client Operations, Account Management, Accounting, and BI to interpret data and resolve issues.
• Escalate disputes when needed and track to resolution.
• Monitor account aging, payment performance, and discrepancy trends.
• Generate reporting and metrics to highlight trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Serve as subject matter expert and main contact for internal teams on revenue assurance processes.
• Maintain process documentation and recommend process improvements to optimize cash flow and minimize debt.
• Support ad hoc projects and assignments as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of analytics or data-focused experience (telecommunications, fintech, or insurance preferred).
• Strong SQL proficiency with experience in database design and data analysis.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage across all organizational levels.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to build strong working relationships with both internal and external partners.

Preferred

• 2+ years of accounts receivable or revenue assurance experience.
• Advanced analytical/trending skills.
• Experience in global/multi-site company environments.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as Great Plains or NetSuite, and data warehouse tools.
