Vice President of Information Systems Healthcare Technology Leadership | $225,000–$250,000 Base + 20% Bonus | Hybrid or Relocation Considered to Jacksonville, FL
A nationally recognized healthcare organization is seeking a Vice President of Information Systems to lead the strategy, operations, and security of its enterprise technology environment. This executive will guide the modernization of network and server infrastructure, strengthen cybersecurity and compliance programs, and align IT capabilities with overall business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the long-term vision for IT systems, cybersecurity, and compliance across a multi-site healthcare network.
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design and performance of hybrid network and server environments to ensure uptime, scalability, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Cybersecurity Oversight: Lead enterprise-wide risk management, vulnerability mitigation, incident response, and employee security awareness initiatives.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to healthcare and data security regulations including HIPAA, SOX, ISO 27001, and NIST. Coordinate audits and regulatory reporting.
- Team Development: Build and mentor a high-performing technical organization covering network engineering, systems administration, and security operations.
- Vendor & Budget Leadership: Manage technology vendors, contracts, and departmental budgets while driving operational efficiency and innovation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in healthcare IT, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role overseeing infrastructure and security.
- Demonstrated expertise in network architecture, server management, and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Proven experience managing HIPAA and other regulatory compliance initiatives.
- Hands-on knowledge of cloud and hybrid platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to partner across business functions.
Preferred Credentials:
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CCSP.
- Background with ITIL, service management, or DevOps automation practices.
- Experience in driving digital transformation and IT modernization within a regulated industry.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary: $225,000–$250,000
- Bonus: 20% annual target
