Job Title: Staff Accountant

Reports To: Accounting Manager / Controller

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Staff Accountant to join our accounting team in Jacksonville, FL. The ideal candidate will assist with day-to-day accounting functions, including financial reporting, reconciliations, and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, journal entries, and account reconciliations.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate coding and timely payments.

• Support the preparation of tax filings, audits, and financial reports.

• Review and analyze financial data, identifying discrepancies or variances.

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial information is accurate and up-to-date.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate setting.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with [specific software, e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite] is a plus).

• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
