We are recruiting attorneys for a national law firm to join its growing team in Seattle, WA. This is a unique opportunity to build and grow a practice in a new market with the support of a firm that is a leader in first-party property insurance law.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated attorney with at least 7 years of litigation experience, ideally with a strong background in first-party property insurance law. The ideal candidate will be ready to take ownership of cases from inception through resolution and will have a passion for client advocacy and business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent policyholders in first-party property insurance matters, including coverage disputes, claim denials, and bad faith claims.
  • Analyze insurance policies, claim documentation, and related materials to assess coverage and build strong cases.
  • Conduct legal research and develop innovative litigation strategies.
  • Manage a diverse caseload, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Negotiate settlements and engage with opposing counsel and insurance carriers.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, depositions, and trials.
  • Provide clear legal advice to clients regarding their rights and options.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure effective case management.
  • Work with the firm's marketing and business development teams to grow the firm's presence in the Seattle area.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Washington State.
  • Minimum of 7 years of litigation experience; experience in first-party property insurance law is highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop business and maintain client relationships.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and trial skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
