SBA Collections Specialist (Bilingual – English/Spanish)

About the Role

A growing financial services organization is seeking a Bilingual SBA Collections Specialist to support its SBA portfolio. This role focuses on customer service, collections, and account resolution while ensuring compliance with banking regulations and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls related to client accounts, inquiries, and banking services

• Assist customers with online banking (registration, access, password resets, and wire support)

• Verify customer identity in accordance with established security procedures

• Conduct outbound follow-ups and client callbacks as needed

• Resolve complex account issues in a timely and professional manner

• Negotiate and collect payments from clients

• Document all client interactions accurately in multiple systems

• Monitor and meet service level agreements (SLAs)

• Escalate issues to appropriate teams when necessary

• Provide support for client emails and online banking messages

• Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• 1+ year of experience in customer service or call center environment

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)

• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to multitask and navigate multiple systems simultaneously

• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills

• Basic knowledge of banking regulations and compliance preferred
