ROLE SUMMARY
We are seeking a Senior Grant Accountant to join the finance team on a temp-to-perm basis. This position supports full-cycle general ledger accounting, grants management, and year-end audit preparation. The ideal candidate brings proven nonprofit accounting experience and is comfortable working independently through monthly and year-end close cycles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage full-cycle GL accounting, including cash bookings, accruals, and journal entries
- Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
- Prepare and post revenue entries; ensure proper classification between admin and program-related revenue
- Oversee grant billings and ensure compliance with contract terms
- Review spend vs. budget; resolve discrepancies and recognize revenue appropriately
- Assist with month-end and year-end close
- Contribute to audit preparation and respond to audit requests
- Support the Controller as needed

REQUIREMENTS
- Experience with reconciliation and preparing audit schedules
- Strong GL accounting background
- Nonprofit accounting experience strongly preferred
- Ability to manage close independently with minimal supervision
