Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Medical Assistant to support a busy pediatric healthcare center with weekend coverage. This role is ideal for a Medical Assistant who enjoys working with children, has strong clinical skills, and is comfortable supporting pediatric providers in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

The primary need is weekend coverage (8:00 AM–6:00 PM), with potential opportunities to pick up additional weekday shifts based on clinic needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric providers with patient care and clinical support
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure proper patient flow
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and updates
• Assist with pediatric exams and procedures
• Administer vaccines and provide support during immunization visits
• Document patient information accurately within the EMR system
• Support scheduling, patient communication, and general clinical duties as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and patient-focused environment

Qualifications

• Previous Medical Assistant experience required
• Pediatric healthcare experience strongly preferred
• Experience administering vaccines/immunizations required
• Experience working with Athena EMR preferred
• Strong communication and patient service skills
• Comfortable working with children and families
• Ability to work independently during weekend clinic hours
