Senior Paralegal - Plaintiff Medical Malpractice

Location: Downtown Fort Lauderdale, FL (Onsite)

Salary: $100,000 Base + Benefits + 401(k)

About the Opportunity

Our client, a respected plaintiff-side litigation firm in downtown Fort Lauderdale, is seeking an experienced Senior Paralegal to support its medical malpractice practice. This is a key role within a high-performing team, offering significant responsibility and the opportunity to work on complex, high-value cases.

The ideal candidate is detail-driven, highly organized, and experienced in managing medical malpractice matters from intake through trial.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support attorneys in all phases of plaintiff-side medical malpractice litigation
  • Manage case files from inception through trial preparation
  • Review, organize, and summarize medical records and billing
  • Coordinate with medical experts, including scheduling and document preparation
  • Draft pleadings, discovery requests/responses, and correspondence
  • Prepare deposition summaries and trial materials
  • File documents in state and federal courts, including e-filing
  • Maintain case calendars and track critical deadlines
  • Communicate regularly with clients, providers, experts, and opposing counsel

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of paralegal experience, with a strong focus on plaintiff-side medical malpractice
  • Proven experience handling complex medical records and expert coordination
  • Strong understanding of Florida court procedures and filing systems
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in legal software and document management systems
  • Ability to work onsite in downtown Fort Lauderdale
