Ascendo is partnering with a client in South Florida that is looking for a strong Senior Accountant to join their team on a temporary consulting basis.

This consultant will be brought in to provide coverage during a maternity leave, making this a great opportunity for someone who can quickly step into an accounting team, pick up existing processes, and hit the ground running.

What you'll handle:

• Month-end close and journal entries

• Account and bank reconciliations

• General Ledger maintenance

• Financial reporting and account analysis

• AP/AR support as needed

• Researching and resolving discrepancies

• Supporting accounting projects and process improvements

What we're looking for:

• 3+ years of accounting experience

• Strong GL and month-end close experience

• Solid understanding of GAAP

• Strong Excel skills

• Experience with accounting/ERP systems

• Detail-oriented and comfortable working independently

• Ability to quickly adapt to a new environment
