Accounts Payable Analyst (Temporary – 6+ Months) | Midtown Manhattan, NY | Hybrid (3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote) | Pay: $25–$28/hr | Potential for Permanent Hire

About the role

A leading luxury e-commerce company is seeking an Accounts Payable Analyst to join its finance team on a 6+ month temporary assignment with the potential to convert to a permanent employee. This role is ideal for someone with strong SAP and Excel skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while supporting critical accounts payable operations.

What you'll actually do

• Process 300-400 invoices per week with accuracy and timeliness

• Review invoices for proper coding, approvals, and supporting documentation

• Pull, analyze, and format AP data from SAP for reporting and payment approvals

• Assist with weekly payment runs and cash reporting

• Resolve vendor payment inquiries and invoice discrepancies

• Perform account reconciliations and maintain AP aging reports

• Support month-end close activities, including accruals

• Maintain vendor records, tax forms, and banking information

• Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and process improvements

What we're looking for

• 1+ years of Accounts Payable or general accounting experience

• SAP experience required

• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and XLOOKUPs

• Experience processing high-volume invoices (300-400+ per week)

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Excellent communication skills with vendors and internal departments

• Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Willingness to work overtime during peak periods when needed
