About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-regarded boutique litigation firm in Houston, is seeking a skilled Property & Casualty Litigation Attorney to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who values hands-on experience, a collaborative environment, and the ability to take ownership of cases.

The firm is known for its practical approach, strong client relationships, and supportive culture-offering attorneys meaningful responsibility and direct exposure from day one.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a docket of property and casualty litigation matters, including insurance defense cases
  • Take an active role in all phases of litigation, from initial case evaluation through resolution
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
  • Conduct depositions and attend hearings, mediations, and trials
  • Develop case strategies and provide thoughtful recommendations to clients
  • Communicate effectively with clients, adjusters, experts, and opposing counsel

 

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active license and good standing with the Texas State Bar
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in property & casualty or insurance defense litigation
  • Ability to independently manage cases and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working onsite in Houston

 

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Trial or second-chair trial experience
  • Experience with coverage issues or bad faith claims
