Job Summary:
With a rich history of delivering exceptional products to consumers worldwide, We are in search of a Sr. Accounting Manager to join our team! This candidate will plan and direct the accounting operations of the company.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:
- Close Process:
- Lead Month and Year End Accounting close
- Ensure timely results (5 day close)
- Perform corresponding reconciliations
- Record weekly payroll expenditures
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations for 6 accounts
- Analyze ledger to ensure all revenue and expenses are captured accurately
- Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
- Liaison with external Sales & Use Tax team
- Treasury:
- Manage Accounts payable process & accounts receivable process
- Review payments & receipt and improve overall process
- Administer weekly check run and make recommendations around expenditures
- Prepare a cash forecast and provide insight into opportunities and risks
- Prepare ACH/Wire transactions
- General Accounting:
- Improve upon and maintain General Ledger
- Monitor fixed asset activity
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
- Coordinate and complete annual internal audits
- Provide recommendations – regarding accounting activities
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (accounting major) with major coursework in business, finance accounting; CPA, a plus [person s/b familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the accounting and finance field]
- At least 3 years of accounting/financial analysis exp (manufacturing/CPD industry preferred)
- Must be highly computer literate with data mining and ERP systems. Requires deadline-driven, high-energy individual, able to work autonomously and lead as a key contributor on teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, as well as the willingness to accept and task ownership of new responsibilities in a fast-growing environment.
- Knowledge of MS Excel (advanced), Word, and Outlook, and the ability to multi-task with moderate supervision.
