Our client is looking for an experienced Electro-Mechanical Installation Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, testing, and modifying complex electro-mechanical systems with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly operations to build and assemble complex small devices such as PCBAs, modules, small components, cable harnesses, electronic systems, and subassemblies.
- Read and interpret Bill of Materials (BOM), assembly drawings, complex wiring diagrams, color codes, schematics, and wire lists to assemble subassemblies and final assemblies.
- Disassemble, modify, rework, and test units as needed using conventional tools, including screwdrivers, torque drivers, and multiple attachments.
- Utilize hand tools, mechanical inspection equipment (calipers, indicators), and electrical test equipment (multimeters) for assembly, testing, and inspection.
Must Have:
- Proven experience in electro-mechanical assembly and installation, including assembling difficult and complex devices.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical documents such as BOMs, assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Proficient with hand tools and mechanical inspection tools, including calipers and indicators.
- Skilled in using electrical testing equipment, such as multimeters, for testing and troubleshooting.
Nice to Haves:
- Experience with circuit board assembly.
- Experience building harnesses and following IPC guidelines.
- Basic knowledge of wiring, soldering, and handling connectors.
