Electro-Mechanical Assembler/Installer

Location: St. Petersburg, FL

Salary is based off experience in the field $25hr plus

1st shift

Responsibilities and Requirements

Essential Skills:

  • Perform complex mechanical, electronic, and electro-mechanical assembly operations with minimal supervision, including assembling PCBAs, modules, cable harnesses, electronic systems, and subassemblies.
  • Assemble subassemblies and final products by interpreting Bills of Materials (BOMs), assembly drawings, complex wiring diagrams, schematics, wire lists, and color codes.
  • Disassemble, modify, rework, and test units using standard tools such as screwdrivers, torque drivers, and attachments.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using hand tools, mechanical inspection equipment (e.g., calipers, indicators), and electrical test equipment (e.g., multimeters).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with circuit board assembly is a plus.
  • Familiarity with harness assembly and adherence to IPC guidelines is advantageous.
  • Skills in complex wiring and soldering are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in building high-complexity harnesses, including terminating various connectors and cables, is a strong asset.
  • Knowledge of electrical theory and its application to wiring and testing using meters is a plus.
  • Capability to perform manual assembly calculations with a high degree of accuracy is preferred.
