Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate and timely invoice payments, and maintaining financial records. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and a deep understanding of corporate accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and manage vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
• Perform account reconciliations to verify the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Accurately enter and process accounts payable transactions, maintaining detailed financial records.
• Maintain the general ledger by ensuring proper recording and coding of accounts payable activities.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to address and resolve invoice discrepancies or payment inquiries.
• Utilize accounting software, such as SAP, to streamline and enhance accounts payable processes.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
• Prepare and analyze reports on accounts payable activities for management review.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of account reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation.
• High accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and financial record-keeping.
• Familiarity with corporate accounting principles, procedures, and best practices.
• Experience with SAP accounting software (preferred).
• Proficiency in 10-key typing for efficient data entry.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with vendors and internal teams.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounts payable, financial reporting, or related accounting roles (preferred).
• Demonstrated experience with corporate accounting and internal controls.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams).
• Experience working with SAP financial systems (preferred).
